01 / How it works

Three square screens and 118 physical controls

The FMP18 Panel Bundle is a complete front instrument panel set for combat flight simulation. It brings two multifunction DDI displays, the lower AMPCD and the FPP control module: together they reproduce the layout and the control logic of a classic carrier-based fighter's front panel. Each screen is square, with a 7.1-inch active area at 800 × 800 and a 60 Hz refresh rate. That square format is what sets the set apart from ordinary rectangular solutions: the image is not cropped and keeps the proportions of the real instrument. The magnetic button bezels attach to the displays over pogo-pin contacts and come off in one movement; with the bezel removed, a screen can be used on its own — for civil-aviation instruments or for a different combat aircraft. Controls run to 95 buttons, 16 rotary controls and 7 toggle switches, all with distinct tactile feedback. Display brightness has 10 steps, button and knob backlighting 15. Every module carries a standard 75 × 75 mm VESA pattern on the back for M4 × 10 mm screws, and the included clamp changes the viewing angle with a single M8 wrench without taking anything apart. Key mapping and the left/centre/right display assignment are set in MOZA Cockpit. Platform is PC, with a 1000 Hz USB polling rate.

  1. 01

The whole front panel, not pieces of it

The set brings two DDIs on the flanks, the AMPCD below and the FPP control module in the centre — the entire front instrument panel at once. Its layout and control logic follow a classic carrier fighter's cockpit, so there is no building it up module by module and hunting for matching brackets.

  2. 02

Square screens instead of cropped ones

A combat aircraft's instruments are square, and so are these screens: a 7.1-inch active area at 800 × 800 and 60 Hz. The map, the radar and the systems pages appear in the right proportions, with no letterboxing and no stretched image as on rectangular displays. The full panel measures 7.5 inches; 7.1 inches remain viewable once the magnetic bezel is fitted.

  3. 03

    Magnetic bezels and modularity

The button bezels are held by magnets and joined to the screen through pogo-pin contacts: off and back on in one movement, no screws. Without the bezel a screen becomes a plain display — hand it to a civil aircraft's instruments or another combat type, and combine the FPP module, the screen and the bezel in any arrangement you like.

  4. 04

    118 controls under your fingers

95 buttons, 16 rotary controls and 7 toggle switches, each with distinct tactile feedback, so a press registers without looking down. Lighting is set separately: 10 steps for the screens and 15 for the buttons and knobs, from daylight legibility to a comfortable night minimum.

  5. 05

    Mounting without rework

The included clamp fixes to the desk edge and changes the angle with a single M8 wrench — no need to take the panel off. For a permanent cockpit, every module has a 75 × 75 mm VESA pattern on the back for M4 × 10 mm screws: aluminium profile, wall and suspended brackets and other MOZA panels all fit.

    What is in the box

The kit ships complete: the FPP module, three screens, two DDI bezels, the AMPCD bezel, the angle-adjustable clamp and a mounting plate set. The cables are in the box too — three 1.5 m USB 3.0 Type-A and one 1.5 m USB Type-C. Nothing extra to buy before the first flight.

02 / Details & compatibility

Compatibility

PC, configured in MOZA Cockpit: assign the left, centre and right displays and remap every button and rotary. All three modules — DDI, AMPCD and FPP — carry a 75 × 75 mm VESA pattern for M4 × 10 mm screws, so they fit the included clamp as well as third-party brackets, aluminium profile, wall mounts and suspended rigs. Removing a magnetic bezel frees the screen for other duties — civil-aviation instruments, or a different fighter.

Questions

What exactly is in the set?

The FPP module (×1), three screens, two DDI magnetic bezels, the AMPCD bezel, an angle-adjustable desk clamp and a mounting plate set. Cables: three 1.5 m USB 3.0 Type-A and one 1.5 m USB Type-C.

Can the modules be used separately?

Yes. The DDI, AMPCD and FPP are standalone units with their own 75 × 75 mm VESA holes. Remove the magnetic bezel and the screen works as a plain display — for civil-aviation instruments or another aircraft, for instance.

How many USB ports does the PC need?

MOZA lists three USB 3.0 Type-A and four USB Type-C ports on the panel, and ships three USB 3.0 Type-A cables and one USB Type-C cable. Plan on several free USB ports or a good hub for the full assembly; confirm the exact wiring with the GEEKSHOP manager when the order is confirmed.

How is the preorder placed and how long is the wait?

The kit is supplied to order. You place a request, a GEEKSHOP manager contacts you and confirms the order — after confirmation, delivery takes about a month. The manager will give you the exact timing on confirmation.
