The Mission R's wheel, with flexible OLED and machined aluminium
The MOZA Porsche Mission R is an officially licensed replica of the Porsche Mission R concept race car's steering wheel, recreated from Porsche's original CAD data. At 320 mm, the proportions, control placement and contours follow the real wheel of the electric racing prototype. It is an object for collectors and for anyone who wants a cockpit that looks and feels like the real thing. The face is a 5.4-inch flexible OLED display at 720p and 60 Hz, sealed behind high-strength tempered glass with a 300R curve. A dedicated 1.3 GHz quad-core processor renders the telemetry, so the dash keeps up with what is happening on track. Screen layouts are fully customisable in MOZA Pit House. The frame and back plate are CNC-machined aerospace-grade aluminium alloy, and the grips are wrapped in faux suede. Controls include 4 backlit short-travel buttons, 4 floating buttons, 2 rear and 2 thumb buttons, 2 aluminium rotary encoders and 2 aluminium thumb wheels. Shifting and dual clutch run on aluminium magnetic paddles with Hall sensors. Mounting is MOZA's all-aluminium quick release.
- 01
Porsche licence and original CAD
The wheel is made under an official Porsche licence and built from the CAD data of the real Mission R — the electric racing prototype Porsche showed as its view of the future of customer motorsport. It matches not only the silhouette and the 320 mm diameter but also the placement of the buttons, encoders and thumb wheels. This is not "inspired by" — it is a copy of the geometry.
- 02
A 5.4″ flexible OLED under curved glass
Instead of a flat insert there is a 5.4-inch flexible OLED panel that follows the curve of the face plate, sealed behind high-strength tempered glass with a 300R radius. Resolution is 720p at 60 Hz, and black is genuinely black rather than backlit — in a dark room the dash reads as part of the wheel, not as a screen stuck onto it.
- 03
Its own processor for telemetry
A dedicated 1.3 GHz quad-core processor draws the image — the wheel does not wait for the PC, and the dash holds its frame rate even while the simulator is busy with physics and graphics. Layouts are built in MOZA Pit House: start from a preset or draw your own panel per car and class, with the fields and colours you want.
- 04
CNC aluminium and suede
The frame and back plate are CNC-cut from aerospace-grade aluminium alloy: the structure does not flex under load from a powerful base and feels like a single machined part rather than a plastic assembly. The grips are wrapped in faux suede, which holds with or without gloves and does not turn slippery once your palms warm up during a long stint.
- 05
Aluminium magnetic paddles
Four CNC aluminium paddles run on magnets and are read by Hall sensors: the travel is short and the click is equally crisp on lap one and lap one hundred. The dual clutch switches between paired and single mode for standing starts in iRacing or the F1 series, and the bite point is set in Pit House.
- 06
Quick release and a place in the cockpit
MOZA's all-aluminium quick release takes the wheel off and puts it back in seconds with no play in the joint — the same standard as the brand's other rims, so the Mission R can stay your showpiece wheel while a working GT rim handles a specific series. A 320 mm wheel of this mass belongs on a top-tier base with a rigid cockpit or a reinforced desk.
Compatibility
This is a rim without a base — a separate direct drive wheelbase is required. According to the official specification the wheel mounts directly on MOZA bases through the shared aluminium quick release; with third-party bases it works through the MOZA hub, bought separately. Note that MOZA's own spec table says "compatible with all MOZA bases" in one row and "compatible with mostly MOZA wheelbases" in another, so check the pairing with an older base with a GEEKSHOP manager before ordering. PC only; the screen, lighting and button mapping are configured in MOZA Pit House. A wheel at this level naturally pairs with the top bases: R16 Ultra, R21 Ultra or R25 Ultra.

Questions
Is this official Porsche, or just a similar-looking design?
It is an officially Porsche-licensed replica. According to MOZA the wheel is recreated from the original Mission R CAD data, so the design, proportions and control layout match. The wheel itself is made by MOZA — it is a sim racing device, not a part taken from a car.
Does the wheel work on its own, or do I need a base?
You need a direct drive base: this is a rim and it does not connect to a PC on its own. On MOZA bases it mounts via the shared aluminium quick release; with other brands it goes through the MOZA hub, sold separately. Given the level of the wheel, the R16 Ultra, R21 Ultra or R25 Ultra make sense.
What does the screen show, and can it be customised?
The screen shows simulator telemetry: gear, revs, speed, delta, temperatures, fuel. The layout is fully customisable in MOZA Pit House — there are ready presets plus an editor for building your own dashboard per car. Pit House is required for the display to work.
How does the preorder work and when will the wheel arrive?
This item is sold as a preorder and opens on 18 November 2026. After a GEEKSHOP manager confirms the order, delivery takes about a month; the exact timing depends on the current shipment and is given at confirmation.
