The wheel returns exactly the force the sim asks for
The MOZA R25 Ultra True Torque is the top base in the MOZA range, aimed at esports and serious racing. Its 25 Nm of sustained torque reproduces race-car loads without compromise, and what really separates it from the other bases is the built-in torque sensor. It measures real output at the shaft instead of inferring it from motor current, so the wheel returns exactly the force the simulator asks for. The sensor works to 0.1 % accuracy and samples at 2 kHz — two thousand measurements per second. In practice that means lower measurement error, a more linear response and an honest account of the moment grip breaks away and comes back, which matters most when you are holding the car on the edge. The torque comes from a new-generation flat-wire motor with roughly 26 % higher torque density than similarly sized designs and cogging reduced to zero. A 21-bit magnetic encoder reads position (2,097,152 points per revolution), rated power is 378 W, USB polling runs at 1000 Hz, and iRacing has a 360 Hz mode. The body is a one-piece aluminium alloy shell with a plastic rear cover: 248.8 × 140 × 135 mm and 9.1 kg. Upgraded intelligent thermal management watches the heat, so the base holds its torque through long stints and stays quiet. It mounts from the bottom, the front or the side, with an optional adjustable bracket; at 25 Nm an aluminium-profile rig is required. Dedicated ports for pedals, dash, shifter, handbrake and an emergency stop switch sit at the rear, with two RGB strips along the top. The platform is PC (Windows). The wheel, pedals and mounting hardware are bought separately.

A torque sensor instead of a current estimate
An ordinary base infers its output indirectly, from the current going into the motor. The R25 Ultra measures it directly with a built-in sensor: 0.1 % accuracy, up to 2,000 readings per second. You feel the difference where the car balances on the edge — the response is more linear, the error smaller, and the loss and return of grip arrive without being smoothed over.
- 02
25 Nm that holds all stint long
Here 25 Nm means sustained torque, not a brief peak: the base delivers it continuously. For heavy GT and formula cars that means honest wheel weight through a fast corner and steering with your shoulders rather than your wrists. If you want it softer, cap the force in Pit House — the headroom still works for detail, not only for heaviness.
- 03
Flat-wire motor: 26 % more torque density
Flat-wire winding is denser than round wire, so the same size housing holds a motor roughly 26 % denser in torque than comparable designs. The other half of the design is zero cogging: at low speed the wheel turns with no magnetic steps, so even small corrections stay clean.
- 04
Quiet and stable over a long race
The manufacturer stresses that at 25 Nm the base does not get louder or hotter: the single aluminium body moves heat away and the upgraded temperature control watches it in real time so the base never drops into protection mid-stint. For endurance racing and esports that is the same thing as predictability.

Mounting: three faces and a stiff rig
The base mounts from the bottom, the front or the side, with an optional adjustable bracket, so the angle and fit can be matched to the cockpit. But 9.1 kg and 25 Nm clearly demand an aluminium-profile rig: a desk or a light stand will start to flex, and part of the force will go into rocking the structure instead of into your hands. Budget for the mount alongside the base.
Compatibility
The platform is PC (Windows); the manufacturer declares no console support for this base. The wheel is not included: MOZA rims with the brand quick release fit — KS Pro, CS Pro, RS V2, GS V2P, FSR2, Lamborghini Revuelto and others. MOZA pedals, shifter, handbrake, dash and emergency stop switch plug into the base's own ports. At 25 Nm an aluminium-profile rig is required, and a load-cell pedal set is the logical match. MOZA Pit House carries profiles for the popular simulators, and iRacing has a 360 Hz mode.

Questions
What does the built-in torque sensor actually do?
It measures real torque at the shaft to 0.1 % accuracy and up to 2 kHz, instead of inferring it from motor current. The error is smaller and the response faster and more linear, so a slide, a snap and the return of grip come through precisely where an ordinary base would already be smoothing the picture.
How does the R25 Ultra differ from the R21 Ultra?
The underlying design is shared: zero-cogging flat-wire motor, 21-bit encoder, 248.8 × 140 × 135 mm body. The R25 Ultra adds 25 Nm of sustained torque instead of 21, the built-in torque sensor and slightly more power — 378 W against 360 W. The R21 Ultra stays the more affordable option with the same thermal stability.
What rig does 25 Nm need?
A rigid one only: an aluminium-profile rig or a cockpit with a reinforced base mount. Desk clamps and light stands are not designed for this torque — the structure will rock and part of the force will be lost. The base mounts from the bottom, the front or the side, and an adjustable bracket is available as an option.
How does the preorder work and when does it arrive?
The base is brought in to order. After you place it a GEEKSHOP manager contacts you to confirm the set — wheel, pedals, mount — and the timing; delivery takes about a month from confirmation. The base weighs 9.1 kg, so regional shipping is quoted separately by the manager.
